Kestrels Rest shepherds hut is tucked away in a quiet corner of our adults only campsite at Rectory Farm in Hingham. With easy all year round parking available though the farm yard this is the perfect get away for all seasons.

Our bespoke hut offers ensuite shower and toilet, double bed – linen and towels included, fully kitted out kitchen with fridge, oven and washing up sink. The woodburner and outside fire pit will keep you warm on chilly nights with logs included in the price, the hut has its own private fenced garden with ample room for your 4 legged family members to roam and covered outdoor dining area with additional washing up sink, fridge, gas BBQ and seating.

Onsite we have walks though paths cut in grassland we left to rewild some 10+ years ago, we have a huge number of wild birds and other wildlife and have began planting hedges and trees with the aim to have plant at least 10,000 hedging or trees around the farm by the end of the decade. We also have 2 well stocked fishing lake with Carp, Tench, Crucian Carp, Roach, Rudd and Bream, fishing is included for Kestrels Rest guests.

Hingham, which is a 10 min stroll to the centre has a great Pub – The White Hart (1/2 mile from the site), excellent butchers, bakery, 2 cafes, boots pharmacy, local co-op, stunning Church, and new to 2021 we now have an art gallery, among many other independent shops and businesses all within about a mile from the site (the pet food shop and shoe shop are a little further).
